I'm raising money for autism research! Does your child have special needs?

We don’t know enough about autism and developmental disorders, and that’s why I’m helping raise money for autism research. Please visit my page if you’d like to make a donation. https://www.raceforautism.org/SUSIECONDON

Autism affects 1 in 59 children in the US today, and over 20,000 individuals right here in San Diego. 100% of the dollars we raise stays in San Diego to help improve opportunities for those with autism in our community. The Race provides funding for autism treatment programs, vocational training for young adults, parent programs, educational workshops, and funding to hundreds of local classrooms, benefiting thousands of San Diego children and families each year. Every dollar truly makes a difference for our children! Please join me on April 6th in Balboa Park and give as generously as you can. Your support is greatly appreciated. You can be a SUPERHERO for autism!

Additionally, if you have a child with special needs and would like family or portrait photos, please reach out! I work with children with special needs and understand that things don’t always go as planned. If we set up a photo session it will be flexible, relaxed, and fun - don’t stress about rescheduling because of a bad day or the length of the shoot because of a couple meltdowns.. we can always make it work!

Family times at Peirce Mill

It is always nice to meet up with families for a second or third time and see how they've grown. I met up with Alina and Matt last year, while James was keeping everyone on their toes and Simon was soon-to-be! We were able to meet up again this last weekend at Peirce Mill in #RockCreekPark. It was a perfect day for photos, with a lot of other families out and about for picnics and hikes. Just look at the cheeks on those kids! Adorable.

Save the Dates!

It's always an honor to see my photos being used for stuff like baby announcements or save the dates. Check out the one for Keisha and Luis. I. love. it. !!!!

Cherry blossoms...of course

I've been feeling obligated to go down to the tidal basin to shoot the cherry blossoms this Spring. This morning I rode my bike down to the basin (thankfully I work near by!) at sunrise, and snapped some photos. My favorite shot is of the birdie, getting his [early worm] breakfast. The blossoms didn't have the best showing this year because of the late cold front DC got, but a good percentage of them held up.

Yayoi Kusama - Infinity mirrors

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors exhibit at the #Hirshorn Museum and my friend Shelbie came along, too. I usually don't take my camera to museums, as I find I don't enjoy the artwork as much when I'm thinking about photos. But I'm glad I took my camera to this exhibit, and if you aren't able to make the trip, hopefully this gives you a satisfactory glimpse!
